 The folk fest “Oi, na Ivana, oi, na Kupala” took place on the bank of the river Ikva in the microregion of Dubno sugar refinery already the 20th year running. The founder and the sponsor of this fest was CJSC “Zakhidna Kompaniya “Dakor”.
In the ancient times the Fest of Ivana Kupala coincided with the day of the summer solstice. Nowadays, the Kupala Eve on July 6 is the long-awaited night for the most inhabitants of Dubno. It is the golden opportunity to listen to the local amateurs, to communicate with old friends, to admire the Kupala Fire, and just to dance to the merry music rhythms. Hiking to the cheerful folk and pop songs, contests and entertainment became the traditions of the inhabitants of Dubno.
 The fest began by the traditional custom with the Neptune, the witch, the water-nymph, and the Kupala tree. And the girls hurried to the river to throw chaplets on the water in order to tell fortunes.
The fest continuation was very interesting and  multicolored: the traditional Ukrainian embroidered shirts changed into classic dresses, and the famous singers take turns with the young talents.
The congratulation of persons, the employers of Dubno sugar refinery, which celebrated their name-date, took place in the height of the fest. The organization of such fests allows CJSC “Zakhidna Kompaniya “Dakor” to promote the leisure spending of its employees and the local public.
It is considered that the Kupala Eve is magic, covered with legends about the true love, playful water-nymph, and also full of faith in magic force of water and fire. You never know, whether someone from Dudno inhabitants and town guests found the flower of fern this evening. But the most significant fact is that this very fest became the pleasant and unforgettable rest.
