The forced step with regard to the development of own production of sugar raw material stipulated the subsequent entrance of the Company to the agricultural market. Present administrative, organizational and financial resources allowed the Company to become the important player at the agrarian market; and based upon the present rates of increase of production, there are all grounds to expect the transformation of the Company on a leader not only in the sugar industry, but also in the agricultural sector of Ukrainian economy.
Nowadays, there are 30 agricultural enterprises in the Company’s structure, which are situated in five regions of the Western Ukraine: Rivne, Lviv, Zhytomyr, Volhynia and Ternopil regions.
The Company on the whole leases 106 thousand hectares of land.
The Company concentrates the basic attention on growing of sugar beets,grain-crops and rape.
The increase of arable lands requires permanent acquisition and update of agricultural equipment. Thus, only for the period of 2006-2007 years the Company acquired the equipment on the sum about 8 million USD. With the purpose of optimization of expenses in the sugar branch the special attention is paid to the agricultural equipment providing, involved on the gathering of sugar beet – the highly productive beet-gathering combines and the beets loaders of the imported production.
